They're extra horrified by Eddie's fate.īefore his body is revealed, though, the characters sing about him being a "no-good kid" and a "low down cheap little punk." Scott is Eddie's uncle, and Columbia is his ex. Frank literally serves Eddie for dinner, using him as a tool to get back at everyone. There is no room for Eddie's square sincerity in a genre that wants its performers to be larger than life, plastered with makeup, and dressed up in crazy clothes.Īfter being killed with a pickax, Eddie's still mined for a bit more drama. He had a certain naive charm, but no muscle.Įven though Eddie is barely on screen for more than five minutes, critic Emily Asher-Perrin sees him as an allegory for the death of old-school rock 'n' roll and the rise of glam rock in the 1970's. Those two words aren't in Frank's vocabulary.)įRANK: One from the vaults. In the brief moment we see Eddie, he seems sweet and genuine. Magenta understood.Eddie is Frank's failed experiment, Columbia's ex, and a really good singer…not just for a dead guy, but for live guys too. It's not like she needed to give one anyway. "But I'm here"Ĭolumbia didn't give a verbal response to that, instead just nodding. In fact, she sometimes seemed like the most grounded person there. It's not like she was any weirder than the rest of them. ![]() Columbia just got like this sometimes, and none of them really knew why but they didn't care. She rubbed small circles on her back in an attempt to ease her worries as she contemplated what was happening. "I know" Magenta responded, allowing her friend to curl into her lap. If she talked too loudly or forcefully, it would only add to how freaked out her friend was, so she kept her voice low. "It's okay" she said quietly as Columbia's voice finally gave out from all the screaming, reducing her to quiet cries instead. It wasn't too often that she found her like this, but she'd grown to understand that having something to mess with often helped her calm down. Magenta frowned before pulling off her small, lace headpiece and putting it into the other girl's hands. "I can't" the short-haired girl shouted, some fleeting part of her focused on the hands wrapped around her own. As funny as Eddie's passing and Frank's subsequent comment about it had been, the toll it took on her. Only this time, any sense of amusement was gone. "Columbia" she said in the same, dragged-out tone she always did. Magenta sighed and kneeled down next to the panicked woman, carefully and gently untangling her hands from her hair. She exited into the hall to find Columbia curled up on a ball against the wall, still screaming and pulling at her hair. Normally, Frank would've shouted at her for leaving him like that, but he was preoccupied with writing off the incident to his guests. So, she patted her brother on the shoulder and walked out of the room. Magenta looked on to where she ran, knowing she oughta help. She ran out into the other room, screaming and pulling at her hair. ← Previous Work Part 27 of Focus on Neurodivergence Next Work →Īutism Positivity Stats: Published: Words: 365 Chapters: 1/1 Kudos: 48 Bookmarks: 1 Hits: 464Įddie died. ![]() Movie: The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975).Magenta (Rocky Horror) is a Good Friend.Basically a little scene post-Eddie being murdered. ![]()
